- Will require modification to maintain A/C high idle solenoid, modify or fabricate a factory bracket to hold solenoid.
- All MG's after 1974 (75-on) require upgrading to a header exhaust system or retro fitting the pre 75 exhaust system.
- These kits come with both electric and water choke elements. You can chose at the time of installation either style.
(Most prefer electric choke for extreme weather conditions.) - Volvo's with one piece (integral) intake and exhaust manifolds will require separating the exhaust from the intake.
Or you can use a header or a factory exhaust from a 75 Volvo 240, 460894 x 1 and air injection plugs 16324 x 4. - You can retain the factory air filter with minor modifications by using adapter number 99010.490.
- Subaru K731 will not fit 83 & 84 automatic trans with 1 bl Carter.
- Toyota Land-Cruisers from 10/73 on will require an upgrade to a cable linkage system using part number 99007.745.
This linkage kit consists of a new pedal assembly and cable. - May require modification to air filter adapter on some vehicles. Chrome air filter assembly number 99217.332S.
- Vehicles with any additional engine modifications such as cam, pistons, or headers we highly recommend a K551-38.
- 87 and later Monteros with automatic transmissions will require more extensive kick-down linkage modifications.
Kick-down can be operated manually. - Some vehicles may require some linkage modification to maintain automatic kick-down and passing gear.
All other transmission operations will remain functional. - Manifold will require hand port matching to maintain the VTEC port shape.
