three digit K kits are for racing and off-road use only and must never
be used on the highways in California
#2) All
K8000 #2 kits have received exemptions from the State of California and
are legal for installation and use on the highways in California. See
Exemption in notes column for E.O. Numbers.

Kits contain necessary parts for installation. Carburetor, manifold or
adapter, linkage and air filter
#4) All
kits require minor installation modifications and basic mechanical
skills and hand tools.
#5) Due to
engine compartment and performance variations the PROLINE performance
DCOE kits require ordering the air filter separately.
#6) Will
require modification to maintain A/C high idle solenoid, modify factory
bracket or make a bracket to hold kick up solenoid
#7) All
MG’s after 1974 (75 on)
require upgrading to a header exhaust system or retro fitting the pre 75
factory exhaust system.
#8) These
kits come with both Electric and Water choke assemblies. Customers can
chose at time of install either water or electric style.
(Most customers prefer Electric for extreme weather areas)

Volvo’s with one piece intake and exhaust manifolds will require
separating the exhaust from intake manifold or updating to a new header
or factory exhaust manifold

Vehicles with any additional engine modifications such as cam, pistons,
or headers a K551-38 is recommended.
#15) 87
and later Monteros with
automatic trans may require more extensive linkage modifications. Or
need to be operated without the passing gear kick down. Kick down can be
operated manually.
#16) Some
vehicles may require some linkage modification to maintain automatic
transmission kick down and passing gear. All other transmission
operations will remain functional.
#17)
Manifold will require hand port matching to maintain the VTEC ports
shape.
